We are currently seeking dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Applicants must be professional, reliable, and able to follow detailed directions. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Position Description The Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists individuals in achieving the quality of life they desire while promoting dignity, independence, and respect. DSPs provide support through teaching, guidance, encouragement, and positive support strategies. Successful candidates will be patient, consistent, dependable, and committed to building trusting relationships while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Ability to provide individualized care and support Ability to administer medications as required Current CPR and First Aid certification Valid TB test clearance Valid driver's license Current automobile insurance Clean driving record Ability to pass all required criminal background checks Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Problem-solving skills in accordance with policies and procedures Ability to assist individuals with financial and daily living needs Basic cooking and housekeeping skills High school diploma or equivalent required Caregiving experience preferred (1 year) Key Responsibilities Promote and protect the dignity and rights of individuals served Provide daily support services based on individual needs Encourage independence and informed decision-making Build positive, respectful relationships Serve as a positive role model Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Support individuals in maintaining a clean, personalized home environment Assist with personal appearance and hygiene as needed Administer medications as required Transport individuals to appointments and community activities Facilitate community involvement and meaningful activities Communicate effectively with team members and complete required documentation Schedule Monday through Friday, first shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Benefits Paid orientation Paid time off Bonus pay opportunities 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Paid training Additional Requirements Must be able to reliably commute to the assigned work location Apply Today!
