Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, assist with daily living tasks, and promote independence within a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Support medication reminders in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA and follow detailed care plans Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, home health, nursing home environments, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance are required; additional certifications like Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfer and mobility support Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams, residents, and families Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others Join us in providing exceptional care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
