Love Help Care Family Support LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in human services preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
