We are now hiring for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our DSPs are the Foundation of our organization and value the contribution that they make by providing care to the people we support. This position is generally scheduled between 10 pm-8 am, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10-30 hours weekly for Part-time 36-48 hours weekly for
Full-time Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties:
This role is in the disability services field, providing support to individuals who need assistance with daily living due to an intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disability. Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment Reminding/assisting client with self-administration of medications (with proper training) Encouraging self-help activities and fostering positive relationships Reporting changes in client's condition to the office Documenting services provided Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school degree/GED required 18 years of age or older Current Drivers license required Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time Criminal history and background check
License/Certification:
• CPR & First Aid Current Driver's License /
Auto Insurance Pay:
$16.00 per hour
