As a Life Enrichment DSP II, you'll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they pursue meaningful experiences, develop life skills, build relationships, and participate in their communities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others grow while creating opportunities for fun, independence, and personal achievement. As a Life Enrichment DSP II, you'll help individuals achieve goals that are important to them, strengthen community connections, discover new interests, and build greater independence. Your work directly impacts quality of life and helps create a more inclusive community for everyone. What You'll Do Support individuals in achieving personal goals and working through individualized action plans. Assist with community participation, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social engagement. Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development through meaningful daily experiences. Provide transportation to community activities and appointments. Assist with personal care, health needs, meal preparation, and daily living supports when needed. Respond calmly and professionally during medical or behavioral situations. Maintain documentation and records that support quality services. Share your experience and help mentor newer DSPs on best practices and daily supports. What We're Looking For Required High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Driving record that meets Cottonwood insurance requirements. Ability to assist with mobility, personal care, and community activities. Basic computer and documentation skills. Preferred Two to four years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting coworkers. Experience working independently while exercising good judgment.
