Alpha Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting and day services, provide supervision and engagement that assist the clients to acquire, maintain or improve skills related to activities of daily living.

Responsibilities- Works directly with clients who have intellectual and developmental disabilities Report directly to Residential Coordinator Successfully completes training in a timely manner Daily documentation Facilitating Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with varying levels of needs. Be able to multi-task Ability to bend and stoop, push/pull, and lift up to 100lbs as necessary. Assist consumers with behavioral needs Other duties as assigned Direct support professional Experience- 1 year preferred, but will train the right person Direct support professional

Duties:

Reading, writing, and carrying out directions General cleaning and household duties Accurate and timely documentation Providing companionship and supportive listening Reporting changes in the health or status of the client Feeding, bathing, and toileting clients Maintaining patient's health equipment Responding to emergency situations Administering medication Transporting clients as requested Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport Providing support with hobbies, interests, and goals.
