Job Description

Presbyterian Homes and Services of Kentucky is currently hiring full -time Personal Care Assistants for day and night shifts at our Cedar Creek Assisted Living Facility in Pikeville, KY. Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED, preferred. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents, good written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with ADLs as scheduled or requested. Monitor and remind residents that self-administer medications. Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by the Executive Director or designee. Change resident's bed linens and make beds as requested. Adhere to the weekly housekeeping duties of the facility. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information (PHI). Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information. Ensure that you treat all residents fairly and with kindness, dignity, and respect. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the building during your complete shift.
