Job Description
A community support specialist, commonly referred to as a Direct Support Professional, assists clients in the community. Community Living Support provides opportunity for direct services to be provided with focus on assisting and training individuals to be independent with activities of daily living instrumental activities of daily living, participation in valued leisure performance and participation in valued community activities. These activities include, but are not limited to: Routine household tasks and maintenance Activities of daily living Personal hygiene Shopping Money management Medication management Socialization Relationship building Leisure choices Participation in community activities Therapeutic goals
