The primary schedule is Mondays or Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM . There may also be an opportunity to work additional hours through the agency that provides his waiver-funded services for candidates who complete the agency's onboarding process. We are looking for someone who can become a consistent and trusted part of his routine . He does best with adults who are steady, predictable, patient, and able to remain calm when he becomes frustrated or dysregulated. This position involves supporting daily living skills, schoolwork and learning activities, transitions, regulation, recreation, and community participation while helping him build independence. We will provide training and support. The right person doesn't need to have all the answers. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn his routines, follow established strategies, and build a positive relationship with him over time. What You'll Do Provide calm, consistent, person-centered support Assist with daily routines and personal care, including toileting, dressing, bathing, and hygiene Support schoolwork and learning activities Support transitions and provide redirection as needed Use movement and regulation strategies as directed by his parents Encourage play, recreation, and social interaction Participate in physical activity and outdoor play Provide occasional transportation to appointments or community activities Prepare simple meals and assist with light housekeeping related to his care Participate in community outings such as the park or pool Maintain a safe, predictable, and supportive environment Who We're Looking For This may be a particularly good fit for someone with a background in or interest in special education, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, music therapy, psychology, social work, education, child development, behavioral health, nursing, or another helping profession. Experience with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required . We are willing to train the right person.
