Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this vital role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas Implement care plans developed by healthcare teams, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, and memory care strategies Document resident progress accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and assist with patient monitoring and record-keeping Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or health issues Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in caregiving duties Experience working with people with disabilities, developmental delays, dementia, or Alzheimer's is highly desirable Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Valid driver's license may be required for community outings or transportation duties Join us as a Direct Support Professional and become an essential part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate care.
