DSP | Caregiver | HHA | CNA | PCA — if you've cared for someone before — professionally or personally — your experience counts here. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 direct support for an adult with behavioral needs — personal hygiene, ADL assistance, meal prep, mobility, and community participation. Transport and accompany the client to appointments and community activities (valid driver's license required). Monitor health, document observations accurately, and communicate updates to program staff and families. Support independence and life skills development in a respectful, person-centered environment. Follow safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and uphold Arbor and program-specific standards throughout every shift. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Personal or professional caregiving experience preferred; 6+ months in human services a plus Comfortable supporting adults with behavioral needs and providing hands-on personal hygiene care Valid driver's license required Certifications CPR/FA certification (required) MAP, Safety Care, CPI, and restraint training as required by assignment Physical Requirements Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Prolonged standing; bending, kneeling, crouching as needed Outdoor activity and community-based work Arbor Associates serves Southern New England, including Greater Boston, Central and Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
