I'm a male quadriplegic in need of a weekend morning aide. My current aide is getting overwhelmed working 7 days a week. So come one, come all... though I just need one. It's not just a job, it's an adventure :-) Transfers are done with a ceiling track system and an electric hoist similar to a hoyer (no lifting).

Time:

Saturday and Sunday - 6:30am to 10:30am (ideally it would be 6am to 10am)

Description:

Give me morning medications (no narcotics) Range of motion (not that it does anything ~ more so I can say I do them) Dress me in bed (I'm 6' but weigh 135lbs so I'm easy to rock-n-roll) Transfer me to my wheelchair (if I'm awake I'll flap my wings ~ rest assured I'll be awake) Wash my hair (for as long as I have it, sniffle sniffle) Feed me breakfast (eggs, potato patty, a sausage on the weekend ~ dang! My mouth is watering) Oral hygiene (you only have one set of teeth) Setup for the day (get me as presentable as possible ~ not sure if this qualifies for hazardous duty) Experience is not necessary. Some of my best aids have been people with NO experience!!! I have a sense of humor, and a lot of patience (No, really!) Thank you!
