Personal Care Assistant — Uxbridge, MA Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join a care team in Uxbridge, MA. In this important role, you will provide personalized care and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for a 65-year-old male with MS. This paid position is a meaningful opportunity to build your patient care skills while supporting an amazing individual and working alongside a strong, supportive care team. Responsibilities Assist with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, wheelchair support, and transfers Monitor health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration according to prescribed protocols Observe and document any signs of distress, discomfort, or health concerns in the care plan Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light cleaning and infection control practices Use a Hoyer lift to safely assist with mobility and transfers between wheelchair and bed Requirements Prior PCA experience preferred, but not required Experience supporting individuals with complex health needs is highly preferred Ability to provide care with patience, compassion, dignity, and respect Strong observation skills and ability to recognize and respond to changes or emergencies promptly Physical ability to assist with lifting, rolling, repositioning, and transfers Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team & family. Pay:
$23.25 per hour
