This position is ideal for someone looking for supplemental income and who has a flexible schedule. Bench staff fill open shifts due to call-outs, vacations, leaves of absence, and other staffing needs. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary from week to week. Schedule Per diem (as needed) Primarily 2nd Shift and Overnight (3rd Shift) Weekend availability required Must be able to accept shifts on short notice when possible Pay $20.00 per hour Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene and meal preparation as needed. Encourage independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Complete required documentation and report any changes or incidents. Follow individualized support plans and behavioral support strategies. Transport or accompany individuals in the community when required. Requirements At least 6 months of DSP, human services, caregiving, or related experience preferred. Must be comfortable with ADLs (feeding, toileting, & bathing) Must be willing and able to travel up to 30 minutes between assignments. Must pass all required background checks. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing staffing needs. Certification Requirement Candidates must have a current CPI or Safety-Care certification . If you are not currently certified, you must be willing to obtain a CPI certification by attending a paid 3-day weekday training in Southborough, MA before working independently.
