Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Support residents during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers and mobility assistance Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy standards like HIPAA and facility policies Collaborate with team members, healthcare providers, and family members to develop and update personalized care plans Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to foster a positive atmosphere for residents Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required; additional certifications
