Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings according to HIPAA regulations and care plans Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration activities Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition Support residents' participation in social activities and community outings to foster engagement and independence Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties, sanitizing common areas, and adhering to infection control standards such as hospice or dementia care protocols Document resident progress, update care plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient monitoring devices safely during daily routines or emergencies Assist with mobility exercises and manual handling tasks that require heavy lifting or physical support while ensuring safety for both residents and staff Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of resident information Experience providing dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care or supporting individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities Ability to perform caregiving tasks including assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, light cleaning, and manual handling safely Knowledge of care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations using CPR or first aid skills when needed Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged periods of standing or walking Join us in making a positive impact every day!
