Job Description

Job Summary Prospect Nursing Services is seeking reliable, compassionate, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one in-home support for pediatric and geriatric clients throughout Frederick & Washington County. Our clients include children and older adults who require assistance with daily living, safety supervision, and supportive care to help them remain comfortable and independent in their homes. DSPs play a key role in promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life for every individual served. We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities. DSPs are placed on our active roster and matched with cases based on location, availability, and client needs. Many of our assignments are long-term placements. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding) Support safe mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation Provide companionship, emotional support, and age-appropriate engagement Encourage independence and assist with daily routines and life skills Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe home environment Observe and report changes in client condition to nursing staff or supervisors Qualifications CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience supporting pediatric, geriatric, or special needs clients preferred Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently in home settings Strong communication and professionalism with families and healthcare staff What We Offer Competitive pay Full-time and part-time placements Flexible scheduling Cases matched by your location and availability Many long-term assignments Supportive team environment Service Area All client cases are located within Maryland, primarily in Prince George's County.
