$32 per hour We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1:1 support to a young adult living independently in her own apartment. This position focuses on supporting daily living skills, community involvement, and ensuring safety while helping the individual build independence and maintain a meaningful, structured routine. Applicants must have an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and experience working with individuals who have behavioral challenges. ResponsibilitiesDaily Living Support Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping. Support daily routines and independent living skills. Provide assistance with personal care as needed. Community Engagement Support participation in community activities (shopping, volunteering, outings). Provide safe transportation and supervision in the community. Encourage social interaction and relationship-building. Behavioral Support Follow and implement a Behavior Support Plan. Use positive behavior supports, redirection, and de-escalation techniques. Remain calm and supportive during challenging behaviors. Collect and document behavioral data as required. Collaborate with the individual's support team to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions. Health & Safety Provide constant 1:1 supervision at all times. Support medical needs, including G-tube feeding (training provided). Assist with medication routines (if trained). Monitor safety in both home and community environments. Overnight Support (if applicable) Provide awake overnight supervision. Ensure safety and respond to needs during the night. Qualifications Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required). Experience working with individuals who have behavioral challenges is required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, and able to remain calm under pressure. Ability to follow structured behavior plans and daily routines. CPR/First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain before starting). Medication Technician certification (or willingness to obtain). Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance. Ideal Candidate Compassionate and supportive. Reliable, dependable, and consistent. Experienced in behavior management and positive behavior supports. Comfortable supporting individuals with both behavioral and medical needs.
