Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence. Your work will be vital in enhancing the quality of life for those you support, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need in a safe and nurturing environment Duties Planning and engaging in meaningful activities in the community and home Supporting the participant with identifying and participating in activities of their choice Increasing opportunities for independence by engaging in activities that the participant is interesting in (rec/leisure actvities, social skills and daily living) Requirements
- Ability to work in a home-like setting
- Communication skills (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the household
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time and any sports client wants to partake in
- Creativity in activities and events to keep client active physically and socially
- Be clean, organized, and tidy when working in a shared space and clients home CPR/FA Certified Have proof of auto insurance, valid driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement will be given for outings) Able to pass a background check
