Home Health Aide Mount Airy, MD 21771 $17.25 - $21.00 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, PRN $17.25 - $21.00 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, PRN Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at promoting independence and comfort in the home setting. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Help clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document daily activities and report any changes in client condition to healthcare staff. Support clients with hospice care needs when applicable. Work collaboratively with families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements Previous experience in home care, senior care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to perform meal preparation and cooking tasks effectively. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
