Home Health Aide - Private Duty

Full-Time or PRN -Per Visit, hourly

Shift Hours:

7:00 AM - 7:00

PM, Varies Weekend Work:

Every 3rd weekend

On Call:

No Home Health Aide Key Responsibilities As part of the patient care team, works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients Follows the patient's plan of care for completion of tasks assigned to a home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional Maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family Demonstrates competency with assigned tasks Complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures Reports changes in the patient's condition Honors patient rights

Required Certifications and Licensures:

CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA certification from accredited 75-hour program Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire) BLS (Basic Life Support)

Education Preferred :

High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Preferred 1 year Home Care This position requires Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, managed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
