Position Overview Anchor Home is seeking a motivated and caring Direct Support Professional/Community Support Coach to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities connect with their communities in meaningful ways. This role involves significant time spent driving and working one-on-one with individuals in real-world environments—facilitating social engagement, access to resources, and community participation. This is not a desk job. You'll be out and about, helping people discover new places, build friendships, volunteer, learn, and explore their personal goals—all while promoting full inclusion in everyday life. Available Shift Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM Key Responsibilities Provide direct support and companionship as individuals participate in community-based activities such as recreation, volunteering, education, and employment exploration. Serve as a safe and responsible driver, transporting individuals to and from their homes, appointments, events, and other destinations. Build and maintain positive relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community partners to expand inclusive opportunities. Empower individuals by helping them set personal goals and make meaningful choices about how they spend their time. Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of the individuals you support. Document activities and progress, and communicate regularly with supervisors and care teams. Assist the Delegating Nurse in prioritizing and responding to the needs of each individual, following the written Plan of Care. Respond with empathy and respect to individual preferences, needs, and feedback. Qualifications High School Diploma or College Degree required. Non Provisional Driver's License and reliable access to transportation (this role requires daily driving). CPR/First Aid Certification Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required. Certified Medication Technician (CMT) license preferred. Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to inclusion and empowerment.
