Job Description

Are you looking for employment where you feel like you are making a difference? ABHS has the perfect position for you! We are looking to hire a Family Support Specialists to join our Behavioral Health Home Team. In this position you will work with other professionals to support our members but completing the following:
  • Directly support parents of youth clients with a peer mentor relationship.
  • Offer support in building skills, goal setting and managing challenges.
  • Participate in the Peer advisory meeting to develop outreach to the community, identify gaps in peer services and training needs, and review the consumer advisory feedback and plan of action as an agency
  • Provide individualized direct support according to that person's treatment plan by supporting the individual's choice and building confidence.
  • Assists with working towards treatment plan set goals & help with overcoming obstacles that may arise while working towards goals.
  • Working closely with the Behavioral Health Home team members.
  • Documentation of time spent with members.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
The induvial whom holds the Family Support position must have personal lived experience with their own children receiving services, have had experience with CPS, IEP's and 504 plans.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
