Job Description
Job Overview Join a compassionate team dedicated to providing round-the-clock support and supervision to adults with Autism and developmental disabilities in a residential setting at We Thrive LLC. In this role, your daily efforts will champion their independence, helping them live fulfilling and productive lives by following individualized care plan, you will actively support residents with community integration, daily living activities, and life-skills development. Duties Establish a caring rapport and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all residents. Provides care that promotes the rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality of the resident Actively engage with supported individuals by participating in their hobbies, personal interests, and recreational activities. Understands resident Individual Plans, and provides support to the residents according to their plan as well as all behavioral, medical, and specialized support needs. Accompany and transport residents, using personal vehicle, to medical appointments, day program, work, shopping trips, and other community outings. Support or perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment as well as grocery shopping, meal planning, cooking, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Assist, support or prompt residents with daily hygiene, personal care, and grooming routines as needed to promote comfort and dignity. Report immediately any evidence of abuse, neglect or violation of resident rights. Lift, transfer, moves and transport residents, using proper body mechanics with safety devices for accident prevention. Completes documentation at the end of every shift according to the standards in place. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with resident, their care team, family members, guardians, case workers, and other stakeholders. Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor.
