Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams promptly Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans while maintaining accurate documentation of medication administration Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition aligned with dietary needs Engage residents in meaningful activities tailored to their interests and abilities, including cognitive exercises for those with dementia or Alzheimer's care needs Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning routines and adherence to infection control protocols Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety and comfort during transit Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is essential Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects when necessary, and work flexible hours to meet resident needs Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
