Current open positions are for 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). Sugarbush Living provides assisted living, memory, hospice, and respite care in a comfortable homelike environment for our residents. We currently operate four 6 bed residential communities and one 14 room community in the Flint area. Our team of caregivers are an essential part of the caregiving team tasked with the care and well-being of our residents throughout our communities. Responsibilities for Direct Support Professionals include, but are not limited to:

• Provide direct support and assistance to residents in a home care setting
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
• Help residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
• Assist with mobility and lifting as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and safe living environment
• Foster social interactions and engage residents in meaningful activities Requirements for a Direct Support Professional include, but are not limited to:
• Previous experience in direct support or a related field is preferred
• Reliable transportation to work in our communities.
• Knowledge of systems and procedures related to home care services
• Ability to lift and assist with the transfer of residents using proper lifting techniques
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
