Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals. Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas. Support residents during community outings or transportation needs using personal transportation assistance. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, or hospice care. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols such as first aid procedures, CPR certification standards, and infection control practices. Document all care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Engage in patient observation to identify behavioral or health concerns early while fostering positive communication with residents and their families. Support residents' participation in social activities to promote independence and community involvement. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support needs, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and patient personal care assistance. Experience with medication administration, care plans development, and documentation procedures under HIPAA guidelines. Familiarity with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods for safe mobility assistance. Previous caregiving experience in geriatrics or senior care settings is advantageous. Ability to perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment for residents' well-being.
