Job Description
Job Summary SunnySide Oasis LLC IS seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, Limited mobility and other health conditions. In this vital role, you will empower residents to achieve their highest level of independence while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energetic and proactive approach will foster a positive environment where residents feel valued, supported, and engaged. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and attentive support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safe and accurate patient care Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist residents during meal times to promote independence Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties within the living space and common areas Support residents' emotional well-being through engaging activities, social interactions, and companionship Follow established protocols for patient monitoring during shifts, including documenting observations and updating care plans as needed Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information Compassionate attitude combined with patience and resilience to handle challenging situations effectively. 18+ Driver License. Shift's available : Evening 12hr
