Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Observe and monitor patients' health status, vital signs, and behavior to ensure safety and well-being Support medication administration following proper procedures and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain clean and safe environments through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of care areas Document care plans, patient observations, and progress notes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment for those with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings using appropriate safety protocols Follow all safety procedures including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response protocols Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments Strong knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques Familiarity with medication administration, care plans, and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Ability to perform patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other manual handling equipment safely Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification preferred but not required upon hire (training provided) Skilled in assisting with ADLs such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and personal care assistance Experience supporting patients with neurodevelopmental or intellectual disabilities in various settings Strong organizational skills for documentation, care planning, and maintaining a clean environment Compassionate approach to caregiving that promotes independence while ensuring safety Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate care tailored to each individual's needs.
