Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include assisting participants with daily living and job-related tasks, encouraging participation in activities, and creating a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Support participants with daily living and job-related tasks using adaptive tools and technology Encourage and model participation in group and individual activities Assist with personal care needs such as restroom use, handwashing, and feeding as needed Create and use schedules, communication boards, and other adaptive materials Support clients during structured and unstructured activities to promote meaningful engagement Monitor both individual and group needs to ensure a safe, supportive environment Use de-escalation techniques such as offering choices or breaks when participants become dysregulated Escort participants safely to and from program locations or activities Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and hazard-free program space Assist activity leaders with engaging participants and cleaning up after activities Share ideas and feedback to help improve program activities and curriculum Qualifications Previous experience in a caregiving or supportive services setting Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team Experience supporting individuals who are non-verbal or have limited verbal communication Experience Background in psychology or a related field is preferred Experience supporting adult population is preferred Skills Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team Experience supporting individuals who are non-verbal or have limited verbal communication

Additional Requirements Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
