Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. We have dayshift and nightshift available. Full or part time. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and promoting their independence.

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines
• Monitor and document individuals' health status and report any changes to the nurse
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
• Engage individuals in recreational activities and promote social interaction
• Provide transportation for community outings and appointments

Requirements:

• Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals as needed
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures
• Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
