Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Part-Time Smart Compassionate Care LLC South Metro Area Job Overview Smart Compassionate Care LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support services to adults with developmental disabilities and other support needs throughout the Twin Cities Metro area. If you are passionate about helping others achieve greater independence and want flexibility in your work schedule, this opportunity may be a great fit. We work collaboratively with both staff and clients to build schedules that meet individual needs while providing quality support. As a DSP, you will play a key role in supporting individuals in their homes and communities while promoting dignity, independence, choice, and community inclusion. Position Details Job Type:
Part-Time Schedule:
20+ hours a week, Flexible scheduling based on client needs and staff availability,
Service Area:
Lakeville, Rosemount, Farmington, Empire, surrounding areas
Main Job Duties:
Provide person-centered support to individuals receiving services Implement positive behavior support strategies and individualized support plans Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands Provide companionship, emotional support, and social engagement opportunities Promote independence while ensuring health and safety needs are met Assist with housekeeping tasks Observe and report changes in client health, behaviors, or support needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
Required Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable vehicle with current insurance coverage Ability to pass a DHS background study Authorized to work in the United States Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude Ability to work independently and follow individualized support plans
Preferred:
Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, PCA, CNA, home health aide, or similar role Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, or behavioral needs Knowledge of person-centered practices and community-based services Experience with documentation and recordkeeping Why Join Smart Compassionate Care LLC?
