Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and empathy will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide respectful, personalized care in clients' private residences. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance quality of life through attentive caregiving and support. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Support medication administration following proper procedures and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist with mobility and prevent injury Maintain detailed care plans and documentation of patient progress, observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for residents or clients Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred but not required. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills for collaborating with Client, families, and other caregivers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often preferred.
