Job Description
Fourth Avenue Homes, Inc. is currently hiring kind, compassionate and responsible Behavioral - Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) to work in our licensed group home with two adult men in New Ulm. At this location, experience with non-verbal individuals and the ability to assist with daily ADL's is required, including toileting and bathing. Applicants will be working in a double staff situation allowing more opportunity to meet the needs of our individuals as well as lending support for each other. A Behavioral - DSP works in a home environment to assist individuals with disabilities with activities such as medication administration, grooming, dressing, shopping, cooking, laundry, community involvement, etc. The Behavioral - DSP must possess basic problem solving skills, have a strong desire to help others reach their goals, have past experience with behavioral individuals including but not limited to physical aggression, verbal aggression, and elopement. Must have past experience with positive reinforcement, behavioral interventions, behavioral analysis, and past crisis placements, individuals, and situations, and be motivated to work as a team to improve the quality of life of the individuals served while ensuring a safe and healthy environment. A Behavioral - DSP must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, be able to document accurately and legibly. The ability to pass a background study and a valid driver's license (unless working overnight shifts only) is required.
Job Type:
Part-time overnights. Pay is based per location. Perfect opportunity for college students and people looking for supplemental income.Pay:
