Job Description

This role involves steering the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing facility, with a focus on upholding a secure and professional workplace culture. You will optimize the utilization of staff and machinery, ensuring that efforts among personnel are effectively aligned and collaborative. The challenge lies in balancing expenditures against the necessary actions to safely and reliably fulfill customer demands.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Spearhead initiatives to enhance both safety and food safety protocols site-wide. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and oversee the establishment and improvement of procedure-based practices. Promote workforce agility and engagement through effective change management, communication, and training. Develop a customer-centric, high-performance team. Identify and nurture key talent for future leadership roles and organizational growth. Sustain production levels in line with strict safety, food safety, and quality criteria. Oversee capacity planning and adjust operational strategies based on input from Demand Planning and Sales and Operations Planning. Adhere to production schedules to fulfill customer commitments. Align plant objectives with broader business and corporate goals, maintain performance metrics, and implement action plans for closing performance gaps. Conduct regular formal and informal employee evaluations. Foster a positive organizational culture that celebrates success and ensures effective communication of company policies. Formulate and execute an annual operational and capital budget. Champion sustainability efforts, including waste reduction and initiatives to enhance value. Utilize regional, corporate, and external resources to bolster continuous improvement and learning at the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS

•A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Chemistry, Food Manufacturing, Microbiology/Food Science, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in production or plant management, preferably in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Proven capability to lead and facilitate within a team setting, with skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing a robust facility team. Strong execution skills and an ability to implement lasting systemic improvements are essential. Knowledge of production logistics, scheduling, and GMP systems. APICS, Lean, or Six Sigma certification is beneficial. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
