The successful candidate will work alongside the nursing team to support patients both pre and post surgery meeting all their daily needs and assisting with mobilising on physiotherapy advice using mobility aides as required. They will be expected to complete the Care Certificate if not already completed. Main duties of the job Maintain Patient confidentiality Support nursing team caring for post operative patients, taking observations and maintaining accurate documentation and patient records. Assist with patient nutritional and hygiene needs. Exhibit professional behaviours and attitude at all times. Undertake training and development courses deemed appropriate for the role as specified by Trust policy and procedure. Recognise own level of competence and limitations to ensure safe practice. Adhere to the Trust's uniform policy. Actively participate in the Trust's appraisal system.
