Whether supporting residents in group homes or assisting clients in community settings, your energy and commitment will foster a nurturing environment where every individual can thrive. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes or concerns Support medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to ensure confidentiality Operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively to prevent injury during mobility assistance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Document care activities accurately in resident records, including progress notes and incident reports Provide emotional support through active listening, positive communication, and engaging activities tailored to each individual's preferences Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia care experience is highly valued Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, manual handling, and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Familiarity with care plans, medication administration procedures, and safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with transfers or mobility support as needed Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional training in hospice care or geriatrics is a plus Join us to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to enriching lives through expert caregiving.
