• Part-time Northern Lights Living is hiring Direct Support Professionals for open positions in Chaska, Chanhassen, and Waconia.

Our approach to in-home care is grounded in the belief that good care protects the life someone wants to live. It should feel calm and respectful, not rushed and not clinical. If you show up steady for your clients, notice the details, and communicate well, this may be a good fit. One caregiver can take on more than one of these positions if the schedule allows, or each can be filled separately by a different Direct Support Professional. Tell us what works for you, and more positions will open up as we bring on new clients. Position 1: Chaska One dedicated DSP Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:00 a.m.

• noon Personal cares, companionship, and light housekeeping. Position 2: Chanhassen One or two DSPs Every other Sunday morning, 9:00 a.m.
• noon, plus Saturday and Sunday evenings, 9:00
• 11:00 p.m. These shifts can go to one caregiver or to two different caregivers. Tell us what fits your schedule. Includes a small dog in the home. You'll need to be comfortable walking her and, honestly, giving out plenty of extra scritches. Position 3: Waconia One or two DSPs Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m.
• 2:00 p.

m. Can be covered by one caregiver or split between two. Personal cares, cooking with the client using her own recipes, light housekeeping, and companionship. There are two cats in the home. You'll need to be comfortable around them. This client's care begins October 1. We're hiring now so the right person, or people, have time to complete required training before then. Pay, bonuses, and growth Direct care pay: $24.00/hr Training pay: $11.41/hr 401(k) with 3% company match Every DSP receives a guaranteed annual cost-of-living increase, plus the opportunity to earn an additional merit-based raise each year. Quarterly performance bonus of up to $100 (up to $400/year) for meeting performance standards. CNA certification bonus Already certified? We offer a one-time bonus based on your certification and experience: $600 bonus = Active MN CNA

• MN Nurse Aide Registry + CNA certificate $500 bonus = DirectCourse transcript, 100% complete
• DirectCourse transcript, all annual training current $400 bonus = Non-DirectCourse transcript, verified equivalent
• Course-by-course checklist review Bonuses are paid out after 6 months of employment in good standing.

What you'll do Assist with activities of daily living: dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting Provide stand-by assistance and mobility, transfer, and positioning support Offer verbal or visual medication reminders (pre-set only; no administration) Light housekeeping and laundry Meal planning and preparation, including modified diets as ordered and, for the Waconia position, cooking with the client using her own recipes Companionship and support with daily routines Complete accurate, timely documentation and communicate respectfully with clients, families, and supervisors Requirements At least 18 years of age Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, bend, and assist with mobility as needed Legally authorized to work in the United States (we're unable to sponsor employment visas for this position) CNA certification or DirectCourse training is not required, but is bonus-eligible if you have it Comfortable around a small dog, including walking her, for the Chanhassen position Comfortable around cats for the Waconia position What we're looking for Dependable and punctual Calm, kind, and direct Comfortable with personal care and home routines Good judgment and attention to changes in a client's needs, routine, or home Able to work independently in a client's home To apply Send your resume to info@northernlightsliving.com, along with the days, times, and number of hours a week you'd like to work.
