Job Description

Fourth Avenue Homes, Inc. is currently hiring kind, compassionate and responsible Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) to work in our licensed group homes in Willmar, Spicer, Pennock and Kerkhoven. Each location varies based on the number of individuals in the home. Our residents in are high functioning and some, very independent. It is our goal to help our residents achieve inclusion within our community and extra curricular activities. We are looking for staff invested in creating and maintaining independence and long term stabilization. A DSP works in a home environment to assist individuals with disabilities with activities such as medication administration, grooming, dressing, shopping, cooking, laundry, community involvement, etc. The DSP must possess basic problem solving skills, have a strong desire to help others reach their goals, and be motivated to work as a team to improve the quality of life of the individuals served while ensuring a safe and healthy environment. A DSP must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, be able to document accurately and legibly. The ability to pass a background study and a valid driver's license (unless working overnight shifts only) is required.
Job Type:
Full-time and part-time positions including sleep overnights are available. Pay is based on experience. Perfect opportunity for Teachers, Special Ed Para Professionals, college students and people looking for supplemental income.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience for awake hours. All sleep positions are $11.41 per hour. These positions include a $300 Singing bonuses as well . In addition, referral bonuses are available for those who recruit other staff.
