Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, ensuring timely communication with healthcare teams. Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding when necessary, and maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties. Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities. Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times. Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, intellectual disabilities support, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ability to perform patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Skilled in assisting with ADLs using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care plans. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information.
