Job Description
Reliable Home Care, Inc. provides services, programs and opportunities, which promote freedom, individuality, and the general welfare of individuals who live in ISL (Independent Supported Living) settings/homes while in keeping with the philosophies of the agency and the Department of Mental Health. Reliable Home Care is hiring for an Office Assistant/Direct Care Staff in the Bonne Terre areas. Character traits : Outgoing, self-driven, confident, takes pride in one's own work, professionalism, detailed oriented, good work ethic etc. Office Assistant duties include but are not limited to Must be able to utilize basic Microsoft Word, Must be able to utilize a 10-Key, Must have knowledge of basic math skills, including check balancing, Must have knowledge of basic formulas/ EXCEL, Must be able to build a schedule and have the ability to think outside of the box, Must have the ability to efficiently navigate Indeed/other platforms (once trained), correspond with applicants, conduct interviews and conduct orientations., Must be able to conduct meetings in a professional manner, Must have basic Office Skills (answering phone, filing, maintaining database), Maintaining the Office Cleanliness, Must have the ability to keep track of Consumer Census, Maintaining consumer/employee documentation, Must be detail orientated, Must be punctual and meet timelines, Must be a team player, Must maintain a professional appearance, Must be able to speak to coworkers, subordinates, supervisors and third parties in a professional manner, Must arrive to work in a professional manner (attitude/mindset) and maintain a professional manner; a manner in such that one's dignity and integrity is not questioned., Must maintain staff, consumer, and agency confidentiality, Must have open availability, Required to be staffing On-Call rotation for at minimum of 1 week a month and is compensated with a bonus of $200.00., Required to work in the ISL's in the event an employee calls out during office hours, Must be able to flex schedule in the event of staffing crisis,
Office Hours:
Monday toFriday:
8am-12pm 12pm-1pm (Closed for lunch) 1pm-5pm -Periodically may need flexing due to consumer needs Required to undergo 30-days of training in the ISLs prior to fully transitioning into the Office Assistant role. Direct Care Staff duties include but are not limited to- Providing supports to people with limited abilities (male and female) in areas, such as person care (including incontinence), health and well-being, accessing the community, learning independent living skills; by implementing his/her Person-Centered Support Plan.
- Create and maintain an environment that empowers people with limited abilities
- Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner while on shift; progress notes, MAR's, medical documents, event reports, staff communication notes and so forth
- Maintain staff, consumer, and agency confidentiality
- Complete/ provide support with household chores and cooking
- May involving lifting and supporting up to 50lbs, along with bending, stooping and kneeling
- May include transferring and supporting consumers in/out of wheelchairs, beds and vehicles, including the use of adaptive equipment
- Attend all required trainings/ meetings
- Applicant will be trained in Level I Medication Aide and CPR
- Provide transportation to/from appointments, and community interests/activities Applicant must be reliable, including having a valid driver license, current vehicle insurance, and a legal running/reliable vehicle.
