Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our day habilitation center and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, aging seniors, or those managing health conditions such as dementia or autism, you will be a trusted partner in their daily routines and long-term care plans. This rewarding position offers an opportunity to foster positive relationships while empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives. Duties
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when necessary
  • Administer medications following physician's order after obtaining Level 1 Medication Administration training
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms and common areas
  • Assist with providing transportation to clients attending and obtain Class E license
  • Support residents' emotional and social needs through engaging activities, companionship, and encouraging participation in community outings or group activities
  • Follow established care plans meticulously, documenting observations, interventions, and progress to ensure continuity of care Skills
  • Proven experience working with a focus on patient care and caregiving
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently; certification provided upon hire
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring, including recognizing signs of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, families, and other professionals
