Specialized Support Services, Inc. is looking to grow our team of excellent Direct Support Professionals who make a difference in our consumers' lives. Our Direct Support Professionals assist with the implementation of consumer Person Centered Support Plans (PCSPs) and Activities of Daily Living. Consumers appreciate assistance in living life to its fullest through help with cooking, cleaning, bathing, dressing, traveling and enjoying vibrant lives in their communities through recreational, occupational and social activities. Importantly, Direct Support Professionals ensure that each consumer's rights are protected and treat consumers with dignity and respect. Training for this career can be done directly with Specialized Support Services, Inc. and the consumers. Qualified candidates need a high school diploma, a GED, or must be enrolled in a GED program or willing to enroll or qualify for high-school equivalency through our own training program that applies only to this type of work in the state of Missouri; the ability to pass a state-mandated background check and the desire to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing domestic, social, health, safety and emotional support. We are hiring one position for 32 hours/week with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. The schedule for this opening is Sunday from 1-9p, Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 3-9p; and then the following week Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 3-9p and then Saturday from 1-9p. Qualified candidates will be required to provide transport for the consumers using company vehicles so they must be 21 with a driver license, liability insurance and a clean driving record. Staff must be willing to work weekends.
