$19.25 per hour
About Nodaway County Services:
We are dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live the life they want no matter what that might look like. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are on the front lines, providing daily support that helps individuals achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential to live the life they want. Responsibilities may vary based on each individual's care plan, but at the heart of everything we do is a commitment to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports and Services:
Provides or assists with the preparation of meals and cleanliness of home. Oversees the proper administration of medication. Provides an environment of safety and security for all persons. Provides transportation, when needed. Maintains home to reflect a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
Personal Plans :
Knows and supports each person's Personal Plan. Implementation Collecting information Monthly reviews Record keeping
General Responsibilities:
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required. Complete all assigned training within the given timeframe. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time. Keep supervisor informed of any relevant client or workplace concerns.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to follow agency policies and procedures. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide necessary support.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, lift, sit, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
