Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Bethel Home Healthcare is seeking a reliable, hands‑on Direct Support Professional to support an individuals within our ISL and Day Program. If you're compassionate, dependable, and serious about quality care—this role is for you. What You'll Do Help with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation Teach and reinforce household tasks (laundry, cleaning, organizing) Schedule and accompany individuals to medical, dental, therapy, and other appointments Communicate with healthcare providers on behalf of or alongside the individual Track and follow up on medical recommendations or referrals Transport individuals safely to and from appointments Maintain updated healthcare records and appointment calendars Plan and facilitate participation in community outings (shopping, recreation, social events) Complete daily progress notes reflecting activities, mood, and behavior Respond appropriately to emergencies (falls, medical events, behavioral crises) Follow individualized safety and behavior support plans Ensure fire/emergency evacuation procedures are understood and practiced Administer or pass medications per physician orders and individual's MAR (Medication Administration Record) What We're Looking For Strong communication willing to engage with individuals Assist individuals have a meaningful day with a positive attitude Experience with wheelchair care and Hoyer lifts a plus Valid driver's license & auto insurance Caring attitude and strong communication skills Level 1 Med Cert a plus Apply Today Apply on Indeed OR get priority review by applying directly on our website: https://bethelhomehealthkc.com/join-our-team/
