Job Description
Job Summary Comfort of Home Healthcare (COHH) is looking for outstanding people who have a passion for helping others for our growing supported living services for people with developmental disabilities! COHH prides itself in ensuring the clients that we serve receive the highest quality of support to live as independently as possible. We are currently staffing for part time and full time positions! Please note that our current openings are for evening and overnight shifts, may open placements requiring weekends. Those with open availability will be considered first. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships. Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional conditions to appropriate healthcare professionals and management. Adhere to individualized support plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences. Support clients in engaging in community activities and social interactions to promote inclusion. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with mobility and transportation needs as required. Adherence to Comfort of Home Healthcare policies and procedures All other duties as assigned Requirements Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance High school diploma or GED certificate Reliable, legal transportation Previous experience in caregiving or home health settings is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and documentation practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavior management is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and assisting clients as needed.
