In this role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and safety, and promote their independence and well-being. Your proactive approach and empathetic nature will help create a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for those in your care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in healthcare and caregiving. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas and laundry Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Follow established care plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other special needs Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and long-term care practices Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is highly desirable Ability to observe patient conditions carefully and report changes promptly Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks Familiarity with home & community care practices, assisted living environments, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Join our team to provide compassionate support that enhances the quality of life for those we serve!
