Care Provider / Teen Support -

Transportation & Community Activities Location:

Town and Country, MO Schedule:

Monday-Friday, approximately 7:00-8:30 AM and 3:00 PM-evening hours

Weekend hours may be available We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Care Provider to support a 15-year-old teen with special needs, including autism and Down syndrome, with transportation, community activities, and recreational outings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with teenagers and/or individuals with autism, Down syndrome, or other developmental disabilities and be comfortable providing supportive, respectful, and age-appropriate assistance. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with teens, staying active, getting out into the community, and helping a young person build independence and confidence.

Schedule & Responsibilities Morning:

7:00-8:30 AM Pick up teen from home in the Town and Country area Provide safe transportation to school in Chesterfield Support a smooth and timely transition into the school day

Afternoon/Evening:

Approximately 3:00 PM-Evening Pick up teen from school at dismissal Provide transportation to scheduled activities and community outings Accompany and support participation in activities such as: Gymnastics Zumba/fitness classes Recreational and community classes Shopping and errands Community outings Other age-appropriate recreational activities Encourage independence, social engagement, and participation in the community Provide appropriate support while maintaining a respectful, teen-centered approach Weekend Opportunities Additional weekend hours may be available for community outings, recreational activities, and other support. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Experience working with teenagers, particularly ages 13-18 Experience supporting individuals with autism, Down syndrome, or other developmental disabilities strongly preferred Experience in special education, ABA, caregiving, behavioral support, education, or a related field is a plus Reliable and dependable Valid driver's license and safe driving history Reliable transportation Patient, engaging, energetic, and compassionate Comfortable participating in community-based activities Able to support independence while providing appropriate assistance Strong communication skills and professional boundaries Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with teenagers and has a genuine interest in supporting individuals with special needs. Experience with autism and/or Down syndrome is highly preferred. We are looking for someone who is positive, active, patient, dependable, and comfortable getting out into the community. The goal is to provide meaningful support while helping the teen participate in activities, develop independence, and enjoy an active social life.
