Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Duties:

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
• Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions if applicable
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Follow all relevant protocols and procedures, including HIPAA guidelines
• Provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or other specific populations as required
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and advocate for client needs

Requirements:

• Previous experience in senior care, working with people with developmental disabilities, or home care is preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to perform basic medical tasks, such as taking vital signs
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
