Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist residents with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance mental well-being, including memory care and dementia support. Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during transfers and personal transportation assistance. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, care plans, medication administration, and patient monitoring. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required; additional qualifications such as Hoyer lift training or manual handling certification are preferred. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfer methods while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or dementia is highly desirable.
